I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I acquired my bachelor's degree in psychology and anthropology. Following my time at the University, I went to teach in Germany and spent some time visiting and traveling to many of the great sights that Europe has to offer. While teaching in Germany, I worked closely with professional business men and women who wanted to improve their English and language skills. Currently, I am working in Durham, North Carolina, where I teach English to refugees. I am available to tutor in a number of subjects. Some of them include verbal test preparation, ESL, German, and psychology. Although I do enjoy each subject I teach, I would have to say that I am most passionate about ESL and German. I believe that fluently speaking another language can bring you many opportunities in this melting pot of a country. I fully support my students, academically and otherwise. I like to make my lessons engaging and challenging at the same time. When I am not busy tutoring or teaching, I can be found with my eyes glued to a good read. I also really like sports, particularly football and basketball. I also like to run for fun and play with my dogs.
