Experience
I have previous experience tutoring children who are in elementary school. I have taught reading, writing, social and study skills. This year at Baylor I began my field study, teaching and tutoring 6th grade students in English. Throughout my education, I have maintained a very high GPA and class rank. I received at 34 in English and Reading sections on my ACT. I received a high score on the AP Literature and Composition Exam this year. I also received high ranks in history and social studies. I took courses through a community college instead of my high school so I would be challenged. Due to the high amount of classes taken in high school, I have developed very good study skills. Learning study skills are important to any subject! I want to be a tutor because I love working with children. I have been a nanny for the last six years. With this job, I have learned that teaching children while they are young is extremely important to their success in the future. I have learned very valuable information that I would love to pass on!
